MIRA Condominiums | San Francisco, CA
MIRA Tower is an iconic housing development in San Francisco consisting of both a tower and terraces of condominiums - spanning 700,000 gross square feet and height of over 400 feet. Designed by world renowned architecture practice Studio Gang. Cynthia Miyashita’s Sozo Studio played a major role in designing all kitchens and baths for the 236 residential units and she worked with her “go to partner” Bruce Humphrey, President of Caseworx, to handle precise fabrication requirements. Sozo Studio specializes in designing modern kitchens made to measure.
Cynthia has worked closely with the E.B. Bradley Co. Specifications Team for years and together they assembled needed samples for the effort. Cynthia recommended Cleaf panels from Italy due to their 3D effect of real wood, unique textures, and exact match edge banding. Upon comprehensive reviews with a 25-member project design team, three Cleaf designs were chosen: Maralunga for kitchens in penthouse units, Patrese for all bathroom vanities and Tarquini for remaining kitchens.
“Cleaf is such a good choice and value. The committee loved the designs! Panels will not fade or change color and they are so consistent. That was vitally important as MIRA condominiums were designed to maximize natural light. Kitchen and bath construction occurred over a 45-week period and Cleaf panels were staged every Friday. E.B. Bradley Co. stored very large amounts of Cleaf panel inventory over that time-period and ensured that all deliveries were made on time, without defects. They were a great partner.”
“E.B. Bradley Co. was a true partner with us on the project. The number of Cleaf panels was very large and they had to be staged at the project location over many months. E.B. Bradley Co. was willing to store and stage product for us. Both Cleaf panels and matching edge banding performed perfectly from a fabrication standpoint.”
